Philippe Baudelocque’s masterpieces are exhibited all around the world, on the wall of Paris and Roma, as well as in Hong Kong or Nairobi. His animals, majestically drawn with white chock on black base, are invading the cities, in a permanent or ephemeral way. His artwork will be exhibited at the Agnès B. gallery in Hong Kong, from the 6th of May to the 27th of August.
1/ What is your favorite destination?
My favorite destination at the moment is far from being exotic. It is the Fontainebleau Forest, in France, just south of Paris. Its shape is perfect to me, you can find mineral, fauna and flora.
2/ A thing to do there?
Observing attentively the rocks, and seeing on it human or animal shapes, and even so much more…
3/ A tip to travel well?
I do not really have any recommendations. It depends on everybody.
4/ Best and worst travel memories?
Not one best memory. Just the fact that, to me, the most important is to live every moment of life, in the smoothest way possible. Worst memory? To be on the far side of the world and living such a strong scene to me, but being with a person who do not feel it the same way as me, who is not connected like me…
5/ Next trip?
Hong Kong. I am going to exhibit at the Agnès B. gallery. I will also realize a drawing on the exterior wall of the Lan Kwai Fong Hotel.
