About the show “A Topless State Of Mind” 20th March – 3th April 2016
In the context of Art Basel Hong-Kong 2016, Château Zoobeetle is proud to invite artist Amit Greenberg for a playful boutique take-over. A total of eleven new pieces will be exhibited along with unique installations. Amit’s work will pay tribute to “la Parisienne” through her travels and iconic personality traits (with or without her “marinière”).
“Paris is my lover, New-York is my wife” Amit says.
A mix of paper cuts and screenprints will be exhibited in the space. The opening reception will take place Monday 21st March at Château Zoobeetle.
About the collaboration
ZOOBEETLE Paris is elated to present their future collaboration with Amit Greenberg. The collaboration will showcase exclusive pieces, including limited edition of leather goods.
Among the pieces included is Amit’s reinterpretation of the iconic “Paris Hong-Kong” wallet from the Parisian maison. A genuine collaboration between the artist and the brand gave birth to new leathers blends and combinations of graphic shapes and colours. Metallic blue will meet the softness of suede, and neon yellow updates the timelessness of cream.
About Amit Greenberg
Amit Greenberg is a bonafide New Yorker, having resided in Brooklyn for the past eleven years. A dynamic and multi-disciplinary artist, Amit has been a student at the city’s top art and design schools, including Pratt Institute, School of Visual Arts and Parsons.
His work reflects the city’s active, diverse and inventive reality while exploring the use of color, iconography and dialogue. Ultimately, creating an experience beyond the known and familiar that is playful and original. Playful, and his creative skills can be seen in many different fields. His first solo show “this is a happy thought” at Colette Paris was a celebration of the chemicals in the human body that activate the feeling of happiness, laughter, and joy.
